Information on the insurance intermediary
Introductory provisions
The company TUITO s.r.o., IČO: 09731989, with its registered office at Thunovská 183/18, Malá Strana, Prague 118 00 Prague 6, registered in the Commercial Register under file no. C 341391 kept at the Municipal Court in Prague (hereinafter referred to as the “Intermediary”) hereby, in accordance with Section 88 of Act No. 170/2018 Coll., on Insurance Distribution and Reinsurance (hereinafter referred to as the “Insurance Distribution Act”) provides clients with the following information.
Information about the intermediary
The intermediary is an insurance intermediary, which is entered in the register of the Czech National Bank pursuant to the Insurance Distribution Act, as an independent intermediary offering insurance brokerage activities. Intermediary's relationship with clients and insurance companies
The Intermediary mediates insurance on behalf of the insurance companies with which it cooperates. The Intermediary thus acts towards clients and provides its services in the position of an insurance broker pursuant to § 12 par. a) of the Insurance Distribution Act.
In connection with the mediation of insurance to clients, the Intermediary represents insurance companies.
The Intermediary declares that it has no direct or indirect share in the voting rights and capital of any insurance company with which the Intermediary cooperates and on whose behalf the insurance contract has / may be concluded (insurance contracted) on the basis of the Intermediary's recommendation.
The Intermediary declares that no insurance company with which the Intermediary cooperates and on whose behalf the insurance contract has / may be concluded (insurance arranged) on the basis of the Intermediary's recommendation, nor any person controlling it, has any direct or indirect share in voting rights and capital of the Intermediary..
Intermediary’s commission
The Intermediary is remunerated for its activities by individual insurance companies, with which it cooperates in its activities on the basis of business contracts concluded, in the form of agreed commissions for the performance of intermediary activities in the insurance industry. The Intermediary is not remunerated directly by the client.
Liability for loss or damage, complaints about services, filing a complaint, resolving disputes and other options for the client's protection
The Intermediary is liable for loss or damage caused by the performance of the brokerage activities in the sense of the Insurance Distribution Act, and for these cases it is compulsorily insured by law. Liability for damage is also governed by other generally binding legal regulations, in particular the Civil Code.
In the event of the client's dissatisfaction with the procedure or conduct of the Intermediary, the client may address their complaint or request for redress directly to the Intermediary, via an email message sent to the email address info@tuito.cz or in writing at the address of the Intermediary's registered office.
With a possible complaint against the Intermediary, it is also possible to contact the supervisory body, which is the Czech National Bank.
Any possible legal action against the Intermediary can be filed with the court with substantive and territorial jurisdiction.
In accordance with Act No. 634/1992 Coll., regarding Consumer Protection, as amended, the client (consumer) has the right to obtain out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes, while the subject of out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority in all other cases.
